Anthony’s Profile
Born in East London, Anthony Poulter attended Essex County High School before taking an apprenticeship in screen-printing with Courtaulds. He then returned to live in London and worked for various companies situated there and
in Northern Ireland. In the mid 70s Anthony started to produce screen-printed work, which was on sale in London’s Portobello Road, Camden Market and Covent Garden. He also painted in watercolours but later moved from this media to very structured pen and ink drawings. He now works mainly in acrylics and also draws in charcoal and pastels.
From London Anthony moved to Kent and then, after a change in career to East Sussex, where after a number of house moves he settled with his wife Wendy in Brighton & Hove.
In 2005 he and Wendy moved permanently to Catalonia, where their home is a former medieval fisherman’s cottage, which they have fully renovated from a virtual ruin.
Anthony’s work mainly consists of portraits, cityscapes and the human form. He has a varied style and likes to push himself to new boundaries using ever-developing techniques and styles. He has a number of exhibitions each year in Spain and the UK.
Anthony is also a fully qualified NLP Practitioner, Hypnotherapist and Time Line Therapist™, he is the originator of Connecting to the Blue Print™ therapy.
