Catalan Adventures is a fully licensed and insured Spanish Tour Operator. Their team are all native English speakers, who live locally and speak Spanish. All guests booked with Catalan Adventures are fully protected for the initial deposit and subsequent balance of all payments made to them prior to your holiday.
Catalan Adventures was established in 2006 by Steve and Maria, a British couple living in the village of Castelló d`Empuriés in north east Catalonia.
With regards to their backgrounds, during Steve’s military service (1990 to 1998) he gained a considerable amount of hill and fell walking experience after completing several military expeditions, as well as many days walking the hills and fells of the Brecon Beacons and the Lake District in his spare time.
Maria gained a similar amount of experience during that period through the TA and in her spare time with friends.
They met in 1998 and for many years they spent as much of their spare time as possible walking the hills and fells of England, Scotland and Wales.
For the last 6 years they have lived, walked and cycled extensively all over the region. During this period they have developed an excellent knowledge of the animal and plant life as well as the wonderful history and rich culture of this region.
They love meeting the people who come on their holidays. For them it’s all about giving you a fantastic holiday you’ll always remember, a chance to meet new friends and hopefully you’ll come back time and time again.
They also have Brian and Sheridan
Brian has walked and cycled extensively all over the region and loves to work as a guide on our walking and cycling holidays. He’s got a great working knowledge of the region and its wonderful history. If he’s not out walking he can be found at our local parachute centre jumping out of planes for fun.
Sheridan loves the outdoors too. As well as working as a guide she likes to swim, run, mountain bike, skydive and ride her cross country motorbike. She loves working as a guide with us and meeting our guests. She too has a good working knowledge of this region.
And of course Jack …. he accompanies them on all their guided walks and is a great companion to have.
